Malcom Berg's extensive design
experience began with a degree in
architecture from Massachusetts
College of Art and Design and a
master's in the same discipline
from Harvard University.
He honed his skills at RTKL
Associates, ADD Inc, Moskow
Linn Architects, and Rafael
Viñoly Architects. But it's at EoA,
the Coral Gables, Florida-based
firm he founded in 2008, where
he marries storytelling with
cinematic experiences in projects
such as Ario in Marco Island,
Florida, highlighted on page 138.

Born in Paris, Michell is a
graduate of London's Bartlett
School of Architecture. An HD
Wave of the Future honoree
and winner of the Donaldson
Medal Award for excellence in
design from the Royal Institute of
British Architects, he co-founded
Amsterdam-based retail and
hospitality design consultancy
UXUS in 2003 with George Gottl.
The firm has worked with a slew
of clients, including Qatar Luxury
Group, Nike, and HMSHost-for
which it designed the Street Food
Market at Amsterdam's Airport
Schiphol, featured on page 51.

Principal, Joyce Wang Studio

After nearly 20 years at Seattle's
Olson Kundig, Kirsten Murray
became an owner in 2008. She
has designed projects including
residences, historic renovations,
mixed-use developments,
museums, and restaurants (like
Seattle's Copine on page 133). Her
client list includes innovators, such
as Oculus and Digital Kitchen.
Murray has served on the national
AIA Trust board and this year
was elevated to the AIA College of
Fellows.

An HD Wave of the Future
recipient, Wang grew up between
Hong Kong, the UK, and the U.S.,
completing her graduate studies
at London's Royal College of
Art. She founded her namesake
firm, with offices in Hong Kong
and London, in 2011, and has
completed a handful of hotel
projects, including rooms at
the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel,
restaurants such as Rhoda in
Hong Kong (highlighted on page
148), and her Rare collection of
tables crafted from marble and
corten steel.
