Dave Manning, treasurer of the
IANA Board of Directors, was named
chairman of American Trucking
Associations. Manning is president of
TCW Inc.
"It is a tremendous honor to elected
by my fellow ATA members as their
chairman for the coming year," Manning
said in a statement. He has more
than 30 years' experience at TCW. He
replaces Kevin Burch, president of Jet
Manning
Express in the ATA position.
"Dave has a strong and steady voice for our industry," said
ATA President and CEO Chris Spear. "He will be an outstanding
representative for our industry and I congratulate him on this
honor."
James Hertwig, CEO of Florida East Coast Railway and 2016
Silver Kingpin Award recipient, has announced his retirement as
of Dec. 31. Before joining FEC in 2010, he held senior executive
positions at CSX, Landstar Logistics and Carolina Freight Carriers.
FEC, which was acquired by Grupo Mexico earlier in 2017, will
be led by GMexico Transportation executives Fernando Lopez,
chief financial and commercial officer and Hugo Gomez, chief
operating officer.

James M. Foote, former president and chief executive
officer of Bright Rail Energy joined CSX as chief operating officer,
overseeing both operations and sales and marketing. The industry
veteran previously was a senior executive at Canadian National
Railway, when Hunter Harrison, current CEO at CSX, held the
same position at the Canadian carrier.
"CSX is pleased to welcome an experienced railroader who
will help continue to drive the company's transformation," Harrison
said in a statement.
The railroad's statement said Foote would take on
responsibilities previously held by Chief Operating Officer Cindy
Sanborn and Fredrik Eliasson, chief sales and marketing officer.
Both left the company in November, but will be part of transition
activities until early 2018, a statement said.
RoadOne IntermodaLogistics named Steve Chandler vice
president in the Southeast and Gulf Coast regions. He brings
more than 30 years of experience in the intermodal drayage,
container shipping and logistics industries.
"He has been involved in every aspect of container transport
which will help to strengthen supply chain reliability and
performance for our customers. This experience significantly
adds to the depth of RoadOne's business development efforts,"
said Ken Kellaway, CEO of RoadOne IntermodaLogistics.
