Smart Fixtures
1. MOEN has expanded its line of hands-free faucets
to include MotionSense Wave. Faucets with the
touchless technology feature a single sensor on the
base that provides hands-free control so users can
turn the water on and off with just the wave of a hand.
The technology is available on the following faucet collections: Arbor, Sleek and Align Spring (shown here).
2. When paired with the GEBERIT In-Wall Toilet
System, the Geberit Sigma80 Flush Actuator keeps
things hands free. Simply approach the toilet, and a
small and large bar of pure colored light appear. Wave
a hand over the large color bar for a full flush and the
small color bar for a half flush.
3. SteamLinx from MRSTEAM is a wireless interface
that consists of a smartphone app and two small transmitter modules: one connects to any MrSteam E-series
generator and the other to the home Internet router.
The two transmitters communicate with each other,
allowing the user to control steam room functionality
wirelessly through the app on their smartphone.
4. The Genius Shower from RIOBEL is an electronic,
pressure-balanced, thermostatic shower system,
which means it provides stable and safe water
temperature in the event of a drop in hot or cold water
pressure. Its digital keypad is easy to handle for everyone in the family, regardless of age or dexterity, and it
outputs up to 19 liters of water per minute, even in the
event of a power blackout.
5. DELTA has developed a skill for Alexa that allows
consumers to control faucets using only their voices
with Voice Activation Technology, which links Amazon
Alexa and Delta Touch2O Technology faucets. Voice instructions for Alexa, which include turning water on and
off, measuring water quantity and even warming water,
allow users to continue working while seamlessly and
accurately controlling water via a Wi-Fi connection.
6. MTI BATHS introduces Microbubbles Technology,
which super-saturates water with up to 50 percent
more dissolved oxygen than regular water. This new
sensory therapy option detoxifies pores and envelops
the body in extra oxygen, and it is available on most Designer drop-in and Sculpted Finish soaking or air tubs.
7. TOTO has developed the world's first zero-gravity
bathtub where users feel total weightlessness: the
Flotation Tub with Zero Dimension Technology. This
tub has been proven to put the bather in a meditative,
low-frequency brainwave state. This tension-free
position also allows for deep muscle relaxation and
serves as a remedy for physical and mental fatigue.
8. Coming this summer, the DTV+ Showering System
with KOHLER Konnect allows users to adjust water
temperature and control showerheads, body sprays,
music, lighting, steam and shower duration with voice
commands, the DTV+ interface or from a mobile device
with the KOHLER Konnect app. Consumers who
already have DTV+ systems can upgrade by having a
bridge module installed in their existing system.
