At Torrey Pines State Beach, make your way past stands of Torrey pines- unique to this region and which give parks.ca.gov the park its name-and up to the top of the bluﬀ for panoramic coastal views. In the waters below, you'll witness the red-orange hues of 300-foot sandstone cliﬀs reﬂected in the deep blue Paciﬁc Ocean. Or, discover a slice of California's history at Hearst Castle. Once home to newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst, today the estate lures visitors with its impressive display of European antiques, ﬁne art, and stunning architecture set against dramatic coastal vistas.
