PS ENGINEERING and XP
Services announced FAA supplemental type certification approval that
includes PS Engineering's PAC45A,
an all-digital audio controller system that includes MultiTalker. The
PAC45A is now part of XP Services'
STC for the UH-60A and EH-60A
Black Hawk.
According to the company, as part
of a complete avionics suite upgrade,
the PAC45A is an FAA TOSA DAL
C, DSP-based, digital audio controller that provides up to eight comms,
eight switched audios, MultiTalker,
and up to four control heads.
True Dimensional Sound, known
as MultiTalker, is exclusively
licensed to PS Engineering by the
United States Air Force. By placing various comm audio in unique
position within a stereo headset,
the pilot and crew can pay attention to the radio that is important
at any instant in time. The Wright
Patterson Air Force Laboratory
invested years in perfecting this
technology, and PS Engineering is
now making it available to specialmission aircraft.
Other novel capabilities are fully
integrated Bluetooth interconnectivity, fully customized recording of
audio alerts that is easily accomplished in the field, IntelliVox automatic VOX or PTT-ICS and up to 14
intercom stations.

Cobham Aerospace Connectivity
COBHAM AEROSPACE CONNECTIVITY's RT-7000 Airborne Tactical
Radio received technical standard order authorization from the Federal Aviation
Administration. An FAA TSO sets a performance standard for specified materials,
parts, and appliances used on civil aircraft, and represents both design and production approval.
According to the company, authorizations granted by the FAA for the
RT-7000 include TSO 113b, for Airborne Multifunction Display, and TSO 169a,
for VHF Communication Radio-ATC, which will permit operators to consolidate
their ATC and mission radios, conserving space and weight and reducing pilot
workload.
Cobham's TSO'd RT-7000 radio suite has established a new standard for
airborne tactical communications. As a software-defined radio, it can supply
P25, Tetra, and LTE-based technology for helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft
engaged in law enforcement, commercial and government air medical transport, search and rescue, military, and border security missions.

BendixKing
BENDIXKING, a division of Honeywell, has expanded the number of aircraft
that can be upgraded to its newest AeroCruze 230 autopilot. Now, owners of aircraft equipped with BendixKing's KFC 200 autopilots can install the AeroCruze 230
(KFC 230), which brings a new level of safety and performance to the flight experience, according to the company.
The AeroCruze 230 autopilot is a replacement for both the KFC 150 and KFC
200 autopilots and is the only touchscreen autopilot in general aviation, giving owners an affordable, quick upgrade path for their legacy autopilot. It offers several
advanced safety features, including Automatic Wings Level, which allows pilots to
quickly bring the aircraft under control with the touch of a button when experiencing
an unusual attitude or inclement weather.
The installation is a form-fit replacement and reuses the servos already in the aircraft, which dramatically cuts down on installation cost and time, reducing downtime
from three weeks to just one week. Furthermore, with the purchase of AeroCruze,
owners automatically receive a new two-year warranty on their existing servos.
AeroCruze 230 is now available for over 35 aircraft platforms, including
Baron, Bonanza, Mooney, Piper Malibu, Mirage, Seneca and Seminole, Twin
Cessna, and others.
