technicians and support volunteers to run the 4-hour clinic.
The changes taking place in today's world, in this country, and
in our Commonwealth are generation-defining, responding
appropriately with resilience, resourcefulness, and responsibility
is what matters. Recognizing that we are 6 months into this
year and not knowing what the next 6 months hold for us, it
is evident that we have a major challenge to enhance PVMA
Members' involvement, both veterinarians and veterinary
technicians, in providing veterinary healthcare to Pennsylvania's
"seniors in need" who own and love their pets. Reflecting on
the past helps us prepare for the future, even a future that is
uncertain in so many ways and this is what we want to do.
Our PetSmart Charities grant has been extended to the end
of 2020, giving us the opportunity to continue working on the
healthcare component of the grant. You can help by being part
of this critical element in several ways:
1. Honor healthcare vouchers from ACPA for primary care
	 visits for pets that are brought to your clinic/hospital.
2. Provide ambulatory care to pets whose owners are
	 homebound or do not have transportation to your clinic/
	hospital.

3. Provide telemedicine consults where appropriate.
4. Join a team of veterinarians and veterinary technicians
	 who plan on having another health care event at a 		
	 senior center in Chester County are able to resume.
5. Share ACPA's actions with clients and others who might
	 want to assist in our programs through fundraising and/or 	
	 hands-on event participation.
6. Place ACPA's DipJar at your front desk to collect donations
from your clients.

Just let us know how you can help, and we will do the rest
in making your involvement rewarding, enjoyable and most
importantly keeping the animals we care for healthy and
physically active, benefiting seniors and their pets.
