FROM THE EDITOR Looking Ahead Happy New Year and welcome to CFCM's first publication of the year-the January/ February Corporate Profile issue. We certainly have an exciting year ahead of us with many tradeshows and conferences pulling the industry together to share, learn and network, but also with some regulatory movement here in Canada. The CPCA Corner outlines recent proposed amendments to the Hazardous Product Act, and CPCA President, Gary LeRoux discusses the European Court's recent ruling on Ti02 and how that will impact Canadian regulatory changes in his column on Page 51. In November, the European court ruled that Titanium Dioxide was wrongly classified in 2020 when the EU classified the pigment in certain forms as a carcinogenic if inhaled, which would require manufacturers to include warning labels on products containing the agent.
