Being open-minded allows for new ideas, new experience, increased knowledge, personal and professional growth, better relationships and an overall positive approach." Following in the footsteps of her father, who has been involved in auto glass since 1982, AAIA 2013 Impact Award winner Kimberly Callahan began her career in the auto care industry as a customer service representative for an auto glass repair and replacement company 13 years ago. "I especially have an interest for the aftermarket side because there are so many diverse and amazing options that not only are affordable, they are also of superb quality," said Callahan. In 2007, she opened her own auto glass repair and replacement company in Charleston, S.C., and in February 2011, Callahan began at Insignia Group as their first aftermarket data specialist. In 10 months, she was promoted to aftermarket data manager, where she developed a new department and created fresh job opportunities for others. Callahan now leads a team of professionals dedicated to both dealership and automotive vendor management. Relationship management, data integrity and new business generation are the primary goals of her team. "I have witnessed such great progress and growth during my time in the industry," said Callahan. "My advice is to be open-minded! Being open-minded allows for new ideas, new experience, increased knowledge, personal and professional growth, better relationships and an overall positive approach." Callahan credits AAIA for being a great educational resource that keeps its members informed, and said she is honored to be a 2013 AAIA Impact Award recipient. KIMBERLY C ALL AHAN POSITION: "It shows me that others see the difference or impact I have made, and also gives me the confidence that I am moving in the right direction," Callahan said. Callahan holds a business management degree from East Arkansas Community College, and her goal is to obtain her master of arts in organizational management.
