EPIC Commissions
Its Crude Oil Pipeline
SAN ANTONIO-EPIC Crude
Holdings reports it commissioned its
Crude Oil Pipeline, running from
Crane to Robstown, Tx., in late
February. At the same time, the
company announced it had ceased
interim service deliveries on its 24inch EPIC Y-Grade pipeline.
EPIC says the 30-inch Crude Oil
Pipeline, which started with an initial
capacity of 600,000 barrels of oil a day,
was expected to be in full service on
April 1. The pipeline's initial 2.3
million barrels of operational storage
was expected to reach 5.4 million
barrels by April 1.
Remaining construction, EPIC says,
is focused on installing an additional 2.1
million barrels of operational storage
and completing the company's East
Dock, which is expected to be capable
of loading Suezmax vessels in the
second half of this year.
"EPIC's ability to provide crude oil
transport out of the Permian Basin into
the Corpus Christi market highlights the
strategic value of our assets," remarks
Chief Executive Officer Phil Mezey. "I

would like to thank our employees,
customers and contractors, who have
enabled us to provide this vital service.
I also want to commend those who
worked on the line for the past eight

Gas Storage Levels
Decrease By 547 Bcf
WASHINGTON-Underground
natural gas storage in the United States
stood at 2.200 trillion cubic feet on Feb.
21, 8.9% above the five year average,
according to the U.S. Energy
Information Administration. That was
down 547 billion cubic feet from the
2.747 Tcf in storage on Jan. 24, which
was 7.6% above the five-year average.
The Feb. 21 storage number was 639
Bcf more than a year ago, when gas
storage stood at 1.561 Tcf.
According to EIA, gas storage in the
East Region was 484 Bcf on Feb. 21,
16.6% above the five-year average, but
154 Bcf less than on Jan. 24, when
storage stood at 638 Bcf, which was
9.4% above the five-year average. East
Region gas storage on Feb. 21 was 124
Bcf more than it was a year ago.

Gas storage in the Midwest Region
stood at 591 Bcf on Feb. 21, 19.6%
above the five-year average and 170 Bcf
less than the 761 Bcf in storage on Jan.
24, which was 10.8% above the five
year average. Feb. 21 gas storage in the
Midwest Region was 199 Bcf more than
a year ago.
In the Mountain Region, EIA says,
gas storage was 108 Bcf on Feb. 21,
10.7% below the five-year average and
35 Bcf less than the 143 Bcf stored on
Jan. 24, which was 0.7% below the five
year-average. Gas storage in the
Mountain Region was 28 Bcf more than
a year ago.
Gas storage in the Pacific Region
was 196 Bcf on Feb. 21, 7.1% below the
five-year average and 14 Bcf less than
the 210 Bcf stored on Jan. 24, which
was 10.6% below the five-year average.
Pacific Region gas storage on Feb. 21
was up 72 Bcf from a year ago.
In the South-Central Region, gas
storage levels on Feb. 21 were 821 Bcf,
5.4% above the five-year average and
down 174 Bcf from the 995 Bcf in storage
on Jan. 24, which was 10.1% above the
five-year average. The Feb. 21 gas storage
level for the South-Central Region was up
216 Bcf from a year ago. ❒
