UAMMI has released Aerospace Manufacturing in the 21st
Century: An
investable plan for a Utah Center of Excellence for testing and qualifying
advanced materials for use in commercial and USAF aircraft, which
provides foundational research to support qualification of advanced
materials and proposes a new center of excellence, the Utah Aerospace
Advanced Manufacturing Center (UAAMC). This study was developed with
in conjunction with NEXA Advisors.
Within a few years, Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) will radically transform
transportation for both the commercial and military sectors. The market
potential is enormous, at more than $1.5 trillion. However, UAMMI's research
identified a growing gap in U.S. manufacturing capabilities and the urgent
need for innovation in advanced materials qualification.

The UAAMC is envisioned as a consortium of stakeholders organized such that its work for the ultimate customers, both the
Air Force and commercial industry, will benefit from the base support of technology facilitators.
The establishment of the UAAMC includes the creation of a " sustainable " business model whereby license and royalty
agreements to repay investments in innovative projects. Up to $1 billion in funding, primarily from the private sector, will be teamed
with grants and funding from the Air Force Research Labs and enable the UAAMC to be self-sustaining over the long term.

moderate sulfur dioxide pollution, or coastal areas with low to moderate salinity.
