Delivers 'Unified'
DASH & HLS

FRA: Broadpeak has completed a
unified packaging and encryption
of DASH and HLS formats.
The latest version of its BkS350
origin packager delivers DASH
and HLS video fragments using
the same chunks (encrypted with
CBCS) and container (CMAF) for
both protocols.
Now that Widevine allows CBCS
encryption, it is possible to encrypt
one CMAF fragment for both HLS
and DASH formats.
Broadpeak's
BkS350
origin
packager offers this capability -
optimising storage costs for OTT
service providers.

On CDP 'A List'
AUS: FUJIFILM has gained a place
on the 'CDP Climate Change A List,'
the highest level of recognition
awarded to companies for their
efforts against climate change.
FUJIFILM Holdings is one of 179
high-performing companies out of
over 8,000 companies scored.
In 2019, investors with over
US$96 trillion in assets requested

AVIWEST Receives
€8M Funding
A

VIWEST has completed a series
B fundraising round with an €8
million investment from Go Capital,
Turenne Group, Sodero Gestion, and
UNEXO, Groupe Crédit Agricole.
The investment will contribute
to the company's rapid growth of
services and strengthen its commercial
presence in markets associated with
live video production-contribution and
IP connectivity.
"Thanks to our new investment, we
will continue to work hard to increase
our presence in markets associated
with IP connectivity and strengthen
our business worldwide, especially
in China and the U.S., which both
represent an important part of our

global market," said Erwan

will also allow us to recruit
around 50 new people
over the coming months."

TV Gazeta Revamps
São Paulo Operations

ão Paulo-based broadcaster, TV
Gazeta, is modernising its broadcast
operations with Pebble Beach Systems'
Dolphin and Marina solutions.
Having decided to migrate from
its Sundance automation system,
Brazil's TV Gazeta elected to work
with the playout specialists at Pebble
for the technology upgrade. With the
deployment of this solution based
around the Marina centralised ingest,
content management and multichannel automation solution, and the
Dolphin integrated channel device,
the broadcaster is able to seamlessly
migrate years of accumulated data
from its legacy system database to a
modern automation system which can

adapt and grow as its requirements
change.
TV Gazeta has four main channels
featuring news, sports, entertainment
and shopping programmes, with a
particular focus on female viewers.
The new software-defined solution
provides more flexibility for live
programming and future channel
expansions.
Pebble Beach Systems' local reseller
in Brazil, Videodata, was instrumental
in making this project happen.
Videodata put in place a flexible but
intelligent migration strategy from the
legacy system to Marina and Dolphin
which is designed to cause little or no
disruption to TV Gazeta's operations.

Because of the similarity of user
interface and conventions, operators
will be able to carry on working as
usual with no disruption throughout
the migration process.
