Grass Valley has a production tool
called Stratus and Veset's cloud
playout application is branded Stratus.
So, don't get confused. The latter is
a SaaS newly available on the AWS
Marketplace.
Veset Stratus is described as an
easy to use all-in-one web application
for creating live TV channels. It is
aimed at any video content owner
looking for a hassle-free way to
schedule and manage 24/7 or pop-up
channels. Veset Stratus enables users
to combine live and VOD content with
live broadcast graphics and SCTE-35
markers into a single high-quality IP
stream ready for distribution.
Igor Krol, CEO of Veset, commented:

channel management. The channel
infrastructure is cloud based in AWS
and delivered to Eutelsat using AWS
MediaConnect for further distribution
to viewers across East Africa.
M2A Media has released M2A
Connect Source Selector, the latest
feature of cloud IP transport service,
M2A Connect. The feature is of
particular value where a rights owner

uses M2A Connect to distribute
multiple video feeds from a live event. 
An acquisition partner can view all
available feeds and select which to
acquire based on secure, pre-defined
entitlements, thus giving them greater
editorial control during the live
broadcast.  
Launched in May, M2A Connect
enables broadcasters and rights
owners to manage and monitor
B2B live feed routing, distribution,
and acquisition over public cloud.
The service is underpinned by AWS
Elemental solutions.
Marina Kalkanis, CEO at M2A Media

It can be deployed on bare metal,
private cloud, or in any cloud service

we expect the move to the cloud to
encompass everything from full endto-end media processing, production,

TV-in-a-Cloud solution as child's play.
Targeting professional video bloggers
and non-broadcasting producers as
well as small businesses, Stryme's
system requires no broadcasting
hardware, no additional configuration,
installation nor support costs. Payment
is monthly and rentable and includes
functions for ingest, live streaming
via YouTube, Wowza or Facebook
Live, MAM, scheduling, graphics,
automation and publishing.
