Monitoring ST2110 Networks
This combination
provides the only integrated solution
for monitoring of live hybrid SDI
over IP and ST 2110 environments
that require both broad and deep
analysis. The " broad analysis " portion
of the solution is built on a 20+ year
history of leadership in video over IP
monitoring and quality assurance.
The 'deep analysis' portion is built
on a 40+ year history of leadership
in waveform monitor product
development, and the product family
has recently been expanded to
include six new models, expanding the
applications for the combined solution
to include both studio and remote
environments.
In June, the Inspect 2110 portion
of the combined offering was
expanded. Enhancements now include
monitoring of ST 2022-6 data streams
(transport of high bit rate media over
IP networks) which, when added to
monitoring ST 2110 video, audio & data
essences within facilities and across
networks,
provides a
unique
and
seamless means of assuring reliability
within hybrid SDI-over-IP and ST 2110
deployments, simplifying operations
and reducing operational costs.
Inspect 2110 also provides
monitoring of primary and secondary
streams in applications which employ
2022-7
for
stream
redundancy.
In
these cases, packets traveling from
Senders to
Receivers are delivered
over two paths. If enough valid packets
transverse these two paths, even if
there are errors in both, the receiver
can assemble the video, audio, and
data streams back into an error free
program by selecting valid data on a
packet-by-packet basis. Even with
redundancy in place, monitoring
is essential to know where these
