The SAMSON is a sibling of Rafael's MCWS that was a key
element of Oshkosh Defense's winning proposal to up-gun the
US Army's Strykers for today's threats.
In addition to SAMSON and the MCWS, Rafael also manufactures
a number of other innovative systems designed to
protect and improve the modern warfighter's combat capabilities,
including:
SPIKE Missile Family: 5th generation, multi-purpose,
EO-guided missile systems that provide pinpoint accuracy
on land, at sea, and in the air. The SPIKE family can upgrade
helicopters into powerful force multipliers, enabling ultralong
standoff ranges, enhanced lethality in a lightweight
package, and extended mission endurance. SPIKE SR, a lightweight
(10 kg), shoulder-fired munition, with an enhanced
range of 2000 meters, increases lethality at the individual
squad level.
Air Defense Systems: As the developer of the Iron Dome,
Rafael has particular expertise in air defense systems and offers
a full range of multi-layered solutions for effective defense and
superiority against UAS, rockets, artillery, mortars, cruise missiles,
and beyond.
With over 2,500 combat interceptions at a success rate of

recently completed a series of flight demonstrations
that featured a company-owned MQ-9B SeaGuardian®
Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) in partnership with the
Royal Air Force (RAF). The demonstration series ended
with the completion of the UK's Exercise Joint Warrior.
The flights showcased the many operational capabilities
of the MQ-9B, including the platform's advanced
maritime Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance
(ISR), Detect and Avoid System (DAAS), industry-leading
endurance and interoperability with NATO partners.
During Joint Warrior, a demonstration of Manned-Unmanned
Teaming (MUM-T) took place using the SeaGuardian
and an RAF P-8, showing SeaGuardian's ability to
compliment and support Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW)
tasking, which included tracking, monitoring, and reporting
of sonobuoys.
The demonstrations were initially based out of RAF Waddington
before moving to RAF Lossiemouth to support
Joint Warrior. While based at RAF Waddington, one flight
saw SeaGuardian fly to Leeuwarden Air Base, taking the RPA
into Netherlands airspace and proving a seamless transition
between national air traffic regions, while testing airspace

bat-proven defense against cruise missiles, PGMs, rockets,
artillery, and mortars (C-RAM), aircraft, helicopters, and UAVs.
The David's Sling (SKY-CEPTOR) Weapon System (DSWS) is
an air defense system designed to intercept medium-range missiles.
DSWS provides an affordable, lethal hit-to-kill solution for
the huge volume of asymmetric threats.
DRONE DOME is an end-to-end, combat proven counter-Unmanned
Aerial System (C-UAS) providing all-weather,
360-degree rapid defense against hostile drones. DRONE DOME
detects even small targets at distances over 3.5 km, intercepts,
and neutralizes with soft and hard kill measures, while ensuring
maximum safety to friendly aircraft.
FIRE WEAVER: A networked system connecting all battlefield
elements in real time, Fire Weaver instantly selects the
most relevant effector shooter for every acquired target. Simultaneously
handling multiple targets using AI and data fusion,
Fire Weaver enables warfighters to receive and share battlefield
data via augmented reality icons on their weapon sights, creating
a common situational awareness picture for all participants.
SKYSPOTTER: A passive electro-optical Early Warning System
with a high probability of detection and a very low false
alarm rate, SKYSPOTTER enhances the capability of air defense
radar detection systems.

SeaGuardian's maritime surveillance capabilities
in support of international allies. The Royal Netherlands
Air Force has ordered four MQ-9A RPA and the first was
to be delivered to Leeuwarden late last year. SeaGuardian
returned to RAF Waddington at the conclusion of the event.
That important event was followed by the UK's first
Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)-approved point-to-point
domestic flight of an unmanned aircraft using the UK's airways
structure, when SeaGuardian flew from Lincolnshire,
England to Moray, Scotland. The flight was controlled by
NATS, the UK's civilian Air Navigation Service Provider.
