WVO Recognized As One of the Best Places to Work in Hawaii

Wyndham Vacation Ownership (WVO), a member of the Wyndham Worldwide family of companies, has been recognized by Hawaii Business Magazine and the Best Companies Group as one of the “Best Places to Work” in Hawaii for 2010. Ranking in the Large Companies category, which consists of companies with more than 150 employees, Wyndham was accredited for creating a rewarding work environment, particularly for its sales organization. The company was previously recognized as a “Best Places to Work” in 2006. Organizations were evaluated by the Best Companies Group, which is an independent workplace-excellence research firm based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. While the firm takes into account the organizational policies, benefits, and practices of the companies it considers, it relies primarily on the confidential feedback from employees.

Robb & Stucky Interiors Recognized for Design Excellence
Robb & Stucky Interiors, the interior design and premier home furnishings retailer, was recognized on May 15 by the Lee Building Industry Association for design excellence. During the annual Pinnacle Awards presentation, Robb & Stucky (www. RobbStucky.com) took home six interior design awards and five advertising awards. Pinnacle Awards were presented to seven interior designers, as well as the company’s in-house advertising department, which received Pinnacle awards for the following categories: “Best Overall Advertising Campaign,” “Best Newspaper Ad,” “Best Magazine Ad,” “Best Direct Mail Ad,” and “Best TV Commercial.” The Lee Building Industry Association’s Sales & Marketing Council, in conjunction with their Remodelers Council, pays tribute to members who have obtained an outstanding level of success and professionalism in the sales, marketing, building, and remodeling of homes during the past year.

Crosswaters Ecolodge is the first ecotourism destination of its kind in China. EDSA worked with local craftsman and emphasized recycling and the use of native plants to create an eco-experience that draws a worldwide audience and gives back to the community. Strict sustainable practices were followed during implementation, and much of the building materials were reclaimed from around the site.

Landal Scoops Two Zoover Awards

Emily Ceruzzi Receives C.A.R.E.’s Top Award
Emily Ceruzzi of Global Connections, Inc. (www.exploregci.com), was recently named the recipient of one of the most prestigious awards presented annually by the Cooperative Association of Resort Exchangers (C.A.R.E.), a vacation industry trade association. She was honored at C.A.R.E.’s historical 25th semi-annual conference, held in late April in New Orleans. She was selected to receive the Richard Gallardo Award for the important role she played in raising sponsorship funds to help defray speaker and conference costs. Ceruzzi has been a C.A.R.E. member for 11 years and currently serves on the Membership Benefits and Sponsorship Committees. Presented annually in recognition of outstanding service to C.A.R.E., the award was created in honor of Richard Gallardo, who served the organization for many years. Ceruzzi received her award from Ricky Gallardo, the son of Kathleen and Richard Gallardo, who were one of C.A.R.E.’s founding member families and present at the organization’s inaugural conference 25 years ago.

EDSA Wins ASLA Honor Award for Crosswaters Ecolodge

EDSA, an international planning, landscape architecture, and urban design firm, has been honored by the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). Crosswaters Ecologe, an eco-resort in Guangdong, China, designed by EDSA, received an Honor Award, as recently announced by ASLA. The 2010 Professional Awards program highlights projects that represent the best in landscape architecture from around the world. The ASLA awards jury evaluated over 600 entries and selected Crosswaters Ecolodge as one of 49 winning projects.

Zoover.nl is the leading independent holiday ratings site in the Netherlands, with more than 1 million reviews of accommodation, countries, cities, and visitor attractions around the world. Zoover recognized Landal as the Best Bungalow Park Provider and Best Holiday Home Provider. The Zoovers are voted by independent travelers, and approximately 100,000 votes were cast across 13 categories over the last four weeks.

Brand Tango Wins 7 Regional Addy Awards
Brand Tango, a boutique marketing, technology, and design firm, took home seven Addys at the recent Addy Awards ceremony for District Four, which comprises Florida and the Caribbean. All seven honored projects by the agency’s vice president and creative director, James Kluetz, are now eligible for national honors from the Addy’s sponsor, American Advertising Federation. With more than 60,000 entries annually,
