Happy 60th
Birthday K+BB!
When I started with the magazine a few
years ago, the NKBA was celebrating its 50th
year at KBIS 2013. Now with KBIS 2015 almost
here, K+BB is celebrating its 60th birthday -
just a few major milestones of which I have
had the opportunity to be a part
Having launched in 1955, K+BB (then
known as Kitchen Business) was the ﬁrst
trade magazine for the kitchen and bath
industry in the U.S. In 1981, the publication
was renamed Kitchen + Bath Business to include expanded coverage
on bathroom projects, as well.
Today K+BB is read by kitchen and bath designers, dealers, architects, custom builders and remodelers, who see it as the essential
resource for the knowledge they need to collaborate with the entire
project team, including the consumer.
K+BB will celebrate its 60th anniversary all year long, and as the
ofﬁcial sponsor of KBIS, we will feature four different magazine covers
for this January show issue - each depicting a recent and stunning
residential kitchen or bath project or kitchen and bath showroom. Let
us know which is your favorite when you stop by our booth N2000 at
KBIS 2015.
Our expanded KBIS coverage in this issue includes a list of all of
the can't-miss events, including education, award and networking
programs; tips on how to make the most of your experience; a sneak
peek of even more exhibitor product offerings waiting for you - and the

Experts share their insights on what lies ahead for the kitchen and
bath industry in our Industry Outlook 2015, and instead of two - we
have FOUR feature project articles in this issue to go with each cover,
including a look into the PIRCH showroom culture.
We have also expanded our column offering to include nine
