Bivins Seeking Partners
For East Texas Project
DALLAS-Bivins Energy Corp. reports
it has acquired a second prospect in the
East Texas Salt Basin.
The prospect is part of a project that
involves applying horizontal drilling and
fracturing techniques to proved oil, gas
and natural gas liquid reserves in the
Rodessa, Pettit and Travis Peak formations, Bivins describes. According to the
company, the horizontal wells will connect
multiple discontinuous, hydrocarboncharged reservoir compartments that have
promising permeability and porosity.
The project is located between two
field analogs, Bivins assures. One has a
19 horizontal well average estimated ultimate recovery of 132,000 barrels of oil,
1.5 billion cubic feet of gas and 165,000
bbl of natural gas liquids. The other
analog has two horizontal wells with an
average EUR of 546,000 bbl of oil, 1.954
Bcf of gas and 273,560 bbl of NGLs.
Bivins says the project could scale to
a minimum of four prospects. The company estimates the initial well will cost
$6.2 million to drill and complete, with
subsequent wells costing $5.0 million.

seamless steel pipes is expected to reach
$88.06 billion by 2026 in part because of
increasing demand from the oil and gas
sector, according to a report by Reports

U.S. Well Services To Buy From Electric Motor Maker
HOUSTON-U.S. Well Services Inc.
has announced an agreement with AmeriMex Motor & Controls LLC under which
AmeriMex will provide electric motors
exclusively to USWS as it relates to
electric hydraulic fracturing.
USWS and AmeriMex jointly developed an electric motor tailored for hydraulic fracturing applications by drawing
on insights from data collected by USWS'
FracMD® technology and the company's
five-year history of operating electric
fracturing fleets, USWS relates. The
company says it has used the fit-forpurpose motors on three newbuild electric
fracturing fleets deployed in 2019, as
well as a fourth fleet that is under construction and should begin working for
a supermajor in the Permian Basin in
early 2020.

Sporting Clay Fundraiser
Trains Dogs For Veterans
HOUSTON-The Faces of Freedom
clay shoot is scheduled to take place on
Sept. 20 at Windwalker Farms in Stanton,
Tx., to raise funds for Freedom Service
Dogs, a nonprofit that trains service dogs
to help disabled veterans.
The dogs come from shelters across
the United States and receive customized
training to help veterans with post-traumatic stress disorders, traumatic brain
injuries, amputations, mobility constraints
and other limitations, the event's organizers
describe. They say participants can help
shorten the waiting period for veterans
to receive their service dogs, which can
stretch to four years.
The Faces of Freedom sporting clays
tournament is presented by Core Laboratories and EOG Resources. Since 2013,
Faces of Freedom's events in Denver and
Midland have raised $1.6 million, the organizers report. This year, they hope they
will draw 500 shooters and raise $400,000.

The CX-Ball for cleaning drill pipe after cementing jobs has sold more than 2,000
units since its introduction in 2014, provider

traditionally used to clean drill pipe, which
the company warns can be difficult and
risky to squeeze into restrictive tool joints,
the CX-Ball is encased in a soluble material
that temporarily controls its shape. This allows the ball to be put into the joint using a
launcher that is quick and accurate, Coretrax
says. In addition to saving an average of
eight minutes for each ball, Coretrax says
this process eliminates the need for costly
equipment or hazardous manual handling.
