Chapter 7-7 Disqualifications for Major Offenses Disqualifications for Commercial Permit Exams Massachusetts General Law Chapter 90F forbids commercial driving by any person with one of the following disqualifying events on his/her record: * OUI - Operating under the influence (drugs or alcohol) * CTR - Chemical test refusal * Leaving the scene of an accident * VEH to commit felony - vehicle to commit felony This applied to events from anytime during a person's lifetime and is stricter than the federal regulations, which only applies to events from the last ten years. Appeals Process If a customer is not allowed to take a commercial learner's permit exam due to a disqualifying event, he/she has the right to file an appeal, for a fee of $50 with the Board of Appeals (P.O.
