It features residual jitter below 50 femtoseconds, channel bandwidths to 50GHz and integrated clock recovery to 32Gb/s. The plug-in module is the latest addition to Agilent’s 86100C/D DCA widebandwidth oscilloscope family. Engineers testing IEEE 802.3ba (40Gb/100Gb Ethernet), Optical Internetworking Forum CEI 3.0, INCITS T-11 32G Fibre Channel and high-speed proprietary systems will all benefit from the measurement performance of the plug-in module. As data rates increase to 28Gb/s and beyond, accurate component characterisation becomes more difficult. Cabling to instrumentation degrades signal integrity, and performance margins are consumed due to non-ideal measurement systems. The analyser’s integrated precision timebase and clock recovery design enable it to minimise potential problems. Continuous data-rate coverage from 50Mb/s to 32Gb/s, peaking control and adjustable loop bandwidths to 20MHz also allow the clock recovery circuit to provide a golden PLL response for accurate and compliant device characterisation. The integrated instrumentation-grade clock recovery circuit allows the module to trigger directly from single-ended or differential data signals. Agilent technologies 42 A he Rigol Technologies DS4000 series digital oscilloscope, features up to 500MHz bandwidth. It is designed to reduce test time in research, development and failure analysis applications. The oscilloscopes feature a 4GSa/s sample rate, a standard 140,000 points of deep memory, up to 200,000 frames for waveform record and replay, and up to 110,000 waveforms/ second/acquisition rate. With Rigol’s innovative UltraVision technology, the oscilloscopes offer intensity grading display and real-time waveform record and display, with customisable real-time hardware filters available. With a variety of trigger functions and automatic measurements with statistics, the series meets a broad range of applications. The instruments feature serial bus trigger and decodes such as I2C, SPI, RS232, and CAN, as well as advanced math functions. A variety of active and passive probes and other accessories, arm mounts and rack mount kits are available. Thin and lightweight, it is a powerful portable oscilloscope. R&D engineers, production test engineers and advanced researchers ca use the instruments in applications including communications, aerospace/defense, research and education, industrial and consumer electronics. DS4000 Series oscilloscopes are available in 100 MHz, 200 MHz, 350 MHz or 500MHz, 2 or 4 channel varieties. rigol T ational Instruments has introduced Multisim 12.0 with specialised editions for circuit design and electronics education. It is based on industrystandard SPICE simulation and optimised for usability. Engineers can improve design performance to fit their applications by minimising errors and prototype iterations with Multisim simulation tools that include both customisable analyses developed in NI LabVIEW graphical system design software and standard SPICE analyses and intuitive measurement instruments. Multisim 12.0 also provides unprecedented integration with LabVIEW for closed-loop simulation of analogue and digital systems. Using this all-new design approach, engineers can validate field-programmable gate array (FPGA) digital control logic alongside analogue circuitry (such as for power applications) before leaving the desktop simulation stage. Multisim Professional Edition is optimised for layout routing and rapid prototyping needs, making seamless integration possible with NI hardware such as the NI reconfigurable I/O (RIO) FPGA platforms and PXI platforms for prototype validation. Multisim 12.0 Education Edition incorporates features specialised for teaching and is complemented by hardware, textbooks and courseware. This helps educators engage students with an interactive, hands-on approach to investigating circuit behaviour. nAtionAl instruMents N www.epn-online.com/search?search_keyword=47200 May 2012 – epn issue n° 05 www.epn-online.com/search?search_keyword=47273 www.epn-online.com/search?search_keyword=47235 http://www.epn-online.com/search?search_keyword=47200 http://www.epn-online.com/search?search_keyword=47273 http://www.epn-online.com/search?search_keyword=47235
