Messer recently celebrated its 100th
nitrogen bottom injection chilling
installation and announced its latest
freezing solutions. The proprietary
chilling technology improves production,
quality and security of supply in
processes traditionally offered only
by carbon dioxide-based systems. The
new Messer Digital Freezer monitoring
system offers processors more
accurate process control to achieve
a step change in quality, traceability
and productivity. Additionally, the
latest tunnel freezing technologies
are designed to boost production on
a new or existing line for individually
quick frozen (IQF) products, hot
products or crust-freezing. Messer's
family of spiral freezers increase
throughput in a small linear footprint

Pouch loader and rack
MULTIVAC introduces a new pouch
loader to provide a flexible, ergonomic
and hygienic solution for packaging
on belted chambers. By using the new
MULTIVAC Pouch Loader and Pouch
Rack, the loading of the chamber belt
machine is performed semiautomatically,
enabling an average of 40% cost
reduction in labor required to load
product. It can also eliminate the
need for employees to physically lift
as much as 10 tons of product, when
compared to the manual loading process.

motion bagger
Paxiom Group and WeighPack launched
its newest vertical form, fill and seal
machine for high-speed applications,
the VF 1200 continuous motion bagger.
Producing up to 150 bags per minute
in sizes up to 16 inches in length, the
VF 1200 can handle multiple formats
and produces a wide range of packages.
It features vertical sealing bars
that are continuously in motion, so the
film does not need to stop to receive
its vertical seal. The VF 1200 features
stainless steel construction, vacuum
pull belts, second film roll support, film
splice table, Omron motion controller
and servos, a color touchscreen and
toolless removable vertical seal bar,
horizontal jaws, and forming shoulder.
