KINLEY, DO LGHP/Penn Medicine Family Medicine - Quentin A s of 2016, 3.2 percent of adults in the United States are current users of vaping products. These products include electronic cigarettes, electronic cigars, tank style nicotine products, and many other delivery mechanisms for nicotine, which can be purchased anywhere that cigarettes are currently sold. In contrast, approximately 11.3 percent of high school students in 2016 reported using an electronic cigarette within the last 30 days. As such, this trend toward the commonplace use of vaping has continued to gain momentum and will likely continue to represent a significant challenge for medical professionals as it continues to evolve.
