Affiliates Corner Change of ACFAOM Editorial Representation at The Foot Jeffrey C. Page, DPM, who has served as the official representative of the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine (ACFAOM) on the Editorial Committee of The Foot since 2006, transferred his duties at a meeting of the Board of Directors on March 18 in Washington. Dr. Page handed over his duties to George Wallace, DPM, MBA, a member of the ACFAOM Board of Directors. Dr. Wallace is director of the Podiatry Service and residency director at the University Hospital of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark. Commenting on his tenure on the Editorial Committee, Dr. Page said, “It has been a great privilege to represent ACFAOM, and I have found the collegial atmosphere of the Editorial Committee of The Foot one that has been extremely professional and cooperative during the past five years as we worked to build the prestige of this important journal for our profession. Dr. Page is associate dean, College of Health Sciences, and director of the Arizona School of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University, Glendale, AZ. The Foot, published quarterly by Elsevier, is ACFAOM’s official journal and one of many ACFAOM membership benefits. It is included in MEDLINE, the premier bibliographic database of the National Library of Medicine. Inclusion in MEDLINE means improved access to the The Foot for researchers and practitioners worldwide and is a recognition of its scientific merit and contribution to the field. n adoption of new bylaws at the membership meeting in Orlando, FL. A decision by the board of the American College of Podiatric Radiology to merge with ACFAOM and become the ACFAOM Podiatric Imaging Council resulted in the addition of a seat on the board for the current chair of the council. Dr. Wallace graduated from Seton Hall University with a BS Dr. George F. Wallace in biology and earned his DPM degree from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine (PCPM; now Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine). He completed podiatric foot and ankle residencies at Northlake Community Hospital, Northlake, IL, and Central Community Hospital, Chicago. Dr. Wallace is board certified in foot and ankle surgery and podiatric orthopedics and primary podiatric mediDr. Robert A. Christman cine, and his MBA in health-care administration is from City University, Seattle. Dr. Wallace is the director of the Podiatry Service and medical director of Ambulatory Care Services at University Hospital–University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Previously, he was in private practice for 16 years. His clinical and research interests include resident education, foot and ankle trauma, and pedal complications of diabetes. Dr. Christman graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a BS in biology and earned his DPM degree from PCPM. He completed residency training in podiatric medicine and surgery at Kensington Hospital, Philadelphia, followed by a fellowship in diagnostic radiology and radiation physics at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He earned a Master of Education degree in educational psychology from Temple University while a faculty member at PCPM. Dr. Christman is the assistant dean of Curriculum and Instruction and professor of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Podiatric Medicine, in Pomona, CA. Also re-elected to the board for a second three-year term was Stephen F Albert, DPM, CPed, of Denver. Dr. Albert cur. rently serves as ACFAOM’s treasurer. n Drs.
