In Memory: Duane McNutt
Duane McNutt, founder of ASB Avionics in
Mojave, California, died July 28, 2023, at the
age of 83.
McNutt joined the Navy after high school as
a flight radioman. After his Navy service, he
worked for 20 years as an avionics technician in
Van Nuys, California. In 1990, he opened his own
business - Avionics of Santa Barbara (ASB). He
later opened a second facility at the Mojave Air
and Space Port, and changed the company name
to ASB Avionics Inc.
ASB Avionics serves the air transport, corporate,
military and general aviation avionics industry and
has been an AEA member company since 1991. q
