Chapter 1-8 RMV-1 Processing Dealer Complaints: MAIA has taken steps to improve relationships with Massachusetts auto dealers. When we receive a complaint about either a DRIVE or non-DRIVE dealer, MAIA will follow-up with a letter stating the problem to the General Manager of the dealership. MAIA will also forward the complaint to the RMV. Generally, the problems that agents are running into with dealers are “sale” (or salesperson) related, and we have found that our direct contact with the General Manager of the dealership has been very effective. The RMV has been extremely vigilant in handling our complaints. Dealers are being brought in for hearings with the EVR/DRIVE Team or Dealer/Repair; and dealers could see their EVR privileges or dealer plates suspended.
