Starlette Johnson resigned as executive
vice-president and chief strategic officer
for Brinker International, Inc. Dallas, TX.
Named to these positions in 2001, Ms. Johnson was previously senior vice-president of
human resources and vice-president of
strategic development.
The board of trustees for the
American Institute of Baking, Manhattan, KS, elected
James Munyon as president.
He assumed the role on Jan.
31. Mr. Munyon served as
MUNYON
senior vice-president of strategic planning
for J.R. Simplot Co., an agribusiness manufacturing and marketing company in Boise,
ID. He also is chairman of the American
Frozen Food Institute.
He takes over a post vacated when Virgil W.
Smail left AIB to become head of the Department of Grain Sciences and Industry at Kansas
State University in Manhattan. Mr. Munyon

is responsible for all programs, products and
services used by more than 900 baking and
food industry members in the institute,
including the baking school and its audit
services for the baking and food industries.
He received a bachelor's degree in microbiology at Oregon State University in Corvalis
and a master's degree in food science from
Washington State University in Pullman.
Paul Twohig resigned as executive vicepresident and c.o.o. at St. Louis, MO-based
Panera Bread Co. He oversaw both company and franchise operations, including
store development, training and systems
implementation.
Assuming Mr. Twohig's responsibilities
are three Panera executives: John Maguire,
senior vice-president, chief company and
joint venture operations officer; Mike Kupstas, senior vice-president and chief franchise
officer; and Michael Nolan, senior vicepresident and chief development officer.

Cal Dooley, a former US Representative,
joined the Food Products Association, previously known as the National Food Processors
Association, as its president and c.e.o. He replaced John R. Cady, who retired in January.
Jeff Dillon joined Didion
Milling, Jackson Creek, WI,
as senior manager of sales
and business development.
He will be responsible for
growing the company's
DILLON
food ingredient and industrial products sales and will continue to expand
its efforts in commercial sales. He also
will serve as senior accounts for Didion's
national accounts.
Milwaukee, WI-based Chr. Hansen appointed Roy Riley as technical sales representative
for the company's fermented dairy ingredient
products. Iain Gran joined the company as
accounts manager in Ontario and Quebec.
