After several years of less than stellar capital
spending in the baking and snack industries, following a downturn in the stock market and the
overall economy, suppliers to these industries are
looking for a breakout year. They are hoping for
money to flow as food producers invest in new
equipment and expansions for a variety of reasons.
"It looks to me as if there will be some money
spent this year," said Darren Jackson, marketing
