The newly introduced Newport 818P-001-12NIR is a 1 W, 12 mm diameter thermopile optical sensor offering the flat spectral response and the low spatial dependence of thermopiles, while retaining the high sensitivity only available with photodiodes. Unlike the hugely successful 818P-001-12, it is calibrated with a fused silica window mounted on the tube, so that long wavelength (>1.36 µm) thermal noise can be cut out of the measurement. Users working with lasers in the µW and mW range will appreciate its lower thermal drift compared to the standard thermopile detectors. The sensors come with a tube screwed on the detector head, which helps reduce power fluctuations from Key Features Capable of measuring down to µW level optical power Broadband flat spectral response from 0.19–20 µm (818P-001-12) Low thermal drift of 6 µW/C (818P-001-12NIR) Insensitive to beam position Carefully designed to minimize thermal drift air turbulence. It is ideally suited for measuring both CW and pulsed laser diodes, OPA, gas lasers (HeNe, argon, etc) or any low power laser, as well as broadband sources under 1 watt. Newport's new LBP-HR is a powerful software driven laser beam diagnostics device with complete beam diagnostic measurement features, including a multi-measurement routine to increase signal integrity for higher accuracy results. For continuous or pulsed laser beams, it provides an extensive range of graphical presentations and analysis capabilities of laser beam parameters such as: beam width, shape, position, power and intensity profiles. The LBP-HR Laser Beam Profiler includes an NG4, an NG9, and an NG10 attenuator that thread into the camera aperture for power reduction of the input beam. The LBP-HR communicates with the PC software with USB, and is powered by the USB port on your PC, so no need for an external AC adapter. This user-friendly system presents Key Features 1.4 Megapixel CCD beam profiler with 12 bit true dynamic range Real-time beam size measurement and Gaussian fit for both CW and pulses Software controlled auto shutter and gain adjustment Automatic recognition of filter position Full positioning capabilities Comprehensive statistics and analysis tools High Speed USB 2.0 CCD chip with protective window graphical and numerical information for an intuitive interpretation of data in real-time.
