ou probably read the title of this article and thought, “I already have procedures in my repair station and quality manuals. Why should I confuse matters by having an additional manual?” Let’s start with the official story. Most management professionals will tell you something like this: “An operations and procedures handbook is an important tool for any company. This device provides useful information to employees at all levels of the organization. It states the goals and objectives, as well as the policies, of the company. It can serve as both an educational tool and a helpful quick reference guide. A well-crafted employee handbook can improve the function of any company, no matter the size, by providing a consistent central resource that ensures everyone in the organization receives the same information.
