Inspired by the section of Disneyland with the same name, Tomorrowland tells the story of a former boy genius (George Clooney) and a teenage girl (Britt Robertson) who stumble into an alternate future reality built on secret scientific achievements. In visualizing the screenplay he co-wrote with Damon Lindelof, Bird insisted on an image that would hold up to 4K digital projection.
