diagnostic algorithm of ESUS. Dedicated MRI sequences
capable of capturing high-risk functional features beyond
anatomical imaging may further boost the clinical applicability
of this technique in the stroke setting. Comparative
studies against other imaging modalities are needed to
demonstrate the cost-effectiveness of MRI in ESUS
investigation.
