Vacuum pyrolysis pystem
with smaller footprint

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, and
40 years since its first K-show appearance, Germany-based manufacturer
of thermal cleaning systems Schwing
Technologies will exhibit its Vacuclean Compact automatic vacuum
pyrolysis system for the thermal
cleaning of plastics residue from tools
and components. With a maximum
load of 50 kg, the system is an update of the company's Vacuclean
concept - a thermal vacuum pyrolysis
system - but with a new all-in-onebox design housing the catalytic converter, vacuum pump, control cabinet, fittings and cleaning chamber
within a more compact footprint,
only slightly larger than a standard
American refrigerator.
The system is particular suitable
for the thermal removal of plastics
from smaller parts. Managing director Thomas Schwing said: "This is
precisely what many of our customers appreciate, who in addition to laser filters, regularly clean screw elements, spin packs, pelletising discs or
screen changers, for example."
Like the original Vacuclean product, the Vacuclean Compact has

"Industry 4.0" features and a 5.7 inch
touchscreen is integrated into the
housing.

Compounder manufacturer
focuses on applications
Farrel Pomini (FP), the USA-based division of HF Mixing Group, will be using
K-2019 to focus on applications. The
manufacturer of compounding systems will be exhibiting a compounding tower display with live demonstrations of its Synergy Control System.
Synergy's features include control of
feed system from a touchscreen, integrated control of support equipment
upstream and downstream and remote monitoring and support, among
over features.
Paul Lloyd, business unit director
at FP said: "We're focusing on our applications expertise this year because
we want visitors to see the breadth of
our experience. We specialise in helping customers solve complex challenges and improve their compounding operations in a wide variety of
markets. Our recent work has produced breakthroughs in numerous
applications, including some exciting
developments in biopolymers."
FP's parent company, HF Mixing
Group, will demonstrate its Advise
4.0 mixing room automation solution. Advise 4.0 is a modular and
scalable system that covers all processes within a mixing room: raw
materials
storage,
automated
weighing of small components, mixing, downstream equipment and
storage.

Static controllers with
Industry 4.0 functions
Meech International, the UK-based
manufacturer of web cleaners and
static controllers, will demonstrate
products that can be controlled by
its "Industry 4.0" control system,
Hyperion SmartControl. Its new
products include the CyClean-R
web cleaner, Hyperion IonCharge50
(75W) and IonCharge30 (15W) static generators and the Hyperion
960IPS static control bar.
IonCharge50 is Meech's most
powerful static generator While Hyperion 960IPS is a pulsed DC ionising bar with a 50% greater maximum working distance than its
predecessior whilst offering ion current monitoring technology to
maintain performance and alert operators, locally or remotely, when
the bar needs to be cleaned.
Meech Elektrostatik SA sales director Ralph Simon says: "Our
newest static control bar is joined
by our long-standing Hyperion
range, including the short-range
924IPS and long-range 971IPS. All
of these bars, suitable for use in a
variety of plastic applications that
require static elimination, can be
controlled via Meech's Industry 4.0
solution - Hyperion SmartControl
- which gives operators access to
static bar performance information
on a fixed or remote device and enables them to adjust the operating
settings to achieve maximum productivity and maximum quality of
output."
