" Emerging Power Management Solutions "
in May 2022. Prof. Aleksandar
Prodic (University of Toronto) delivered
an eight-lecture seminar with
the main motivation of reducing the
volume and weight of switch-mode
power supplies (SMPSs) while improving
power-processing efficiency.

France, Scotland, England, Ireland,
Canada, the United States, and Brazil.
Prodic has been a professor in the
Electrical and Computer Engineering
Department, University of Toronto,
since 2003. He has led the Laboratory
for Power Management (PM) and InteIEEE
SOLID-STATE CIRCUITS MAGAZINE
grated SMPSs since 2004. His general
research interest is power electronics,
with a special focus on practical
advanced control methods; converter
topologies; mixed-signal IC design;
and low-power, high-frequency SMPS
and PM systems. The applications
range from on-chip power supplies
for portable devices to automotive PM
systems. He has 80+ research publications
and 20+ patents, many of which
have become commercial products.
Power supply systems for mobile
devices, computers, consumer electronics,
and numerous other applications
are going through significant
transformations. The changes are driven
