KBIS Has Education "Game"
This year's NKBA Voices from the Industry (VFTI) Conference will feature more than 80 speakers in the following kitchen and
bath industry topics: Grow Your Business, Kitchen & Bath Specialty Training, Design, Management and Customer Service.
Everything from smart lighting choices to 2019 color trends to showroom strategies to managing your clients will be covered,
and KBB will highlight some of our favorites in the coming issues.
This year, there will be a special session directed
specifically at students enrolled in training programs for careers in the kitchen and bath industry.
All one-hour sessions offer 0.1 CEU, and many
will also qualify for other industry CEUs.
Also new for 2019, the NKBA will offer four
Professional Development courses as part of
the VFTI Conference. The two-hour seminars
offer 0.2 CEU credits and two Education Hours
toward earning or maintaining AKBD, CKBD
or CMKBD certification.The four courses, which
will take place in Room N230 of the Las Vegas
Convention Center, will include:
"Tuesday, Feb. 19, 8 a.m. - 10 a.m.

Color and the Senses: Exploring Synesthesia
+ Current Color Trends, presented by Kathryn
Grube, MID, NCIDQ, LEED AP ID+C. She will
discuss how color can affect the senses and will
introduce color trends for 2019.
"Tuesday, Feb. 19, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Embracing Smart Technology in Your
Kitchen & Bath Designs, presented by Jamie
Briesemeister, sales and marketing director for
Integration Controls, a smart home automation company. She will talk about the reasons
technology is an important part of the design
process, which include convenience, more free
time and peace of mind for the user.
"Wednesday, Feb. 20, 8 a.m. - 10 a.m.
The Practical Application of Lighting Design
for Kitchens and Baths, presented by Karyn
Judd Reilly, CKD, NCIDQ. She'll cover the
concepts of lighting and offer tips to create
practical lighting designs for clients.
"Wednesday Feb. 20, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
GenSales 5: Keys to Your Five-Year Generational Sales Success, presented by author,
consultant and industry veteran John Morgan.
He will discuss how advances in knowledge,
technology and logistics are changing the flow
of products and services to consumers.
