Consumers must present the following to an RMV branch before a motorcycle endorsement can be issued… 1. Completed and stamped Motorcycle Rider Education Program Certificate of Completion 2. Valid motorcycle permit 3. $15 motorcycle endorsement fee ($50.00 for motorcycle only) if not prepaid 4. Completed license application 5. If under 18 years of age… • Must obtain parent or guardian signature on application • Must complete Driver’s Education • Must hold a valid permit for a minimum of six months • Must have a clean driving record for six months ** New Law** Effective Immediately, a junior operator under the age of 18 must complete the Massachusetts Rider Education Program (MREP) to get a Class M (motorcycle) license or endorsement. Applicants who complete this program do not need to take a Class M road test at the Registry of Motor Vehicles. Motorcycle skills testing is performed by the Rider Education Program.
