BestSelf Lactose-Free Greek Yogurt
FAGE USA recognizes that many dairy consumers believe they have
an issue digesting lactose, milk's inherent sugar. This is due to the lack
of the enzyme lactase, which is responsible for breaking lactose down
into the monosaccharides glucose and galactose, which also happen
to be sweeter than lactose. In response, the company now offers FAGE
BestSelf lactose-free low-fat Greek yogurt. It comes in a plain variety in
5.3-oz and 32-oz containers. With no-added-sugars, a serving contains
110 calories, 3 grams of fat, 5 grams of sugar and 15 grams of protein.
The blended varieties include chicory root fiber to additionally assist
with keeping added sugars on the lower side. Varieties are blueberry,
peach, strawberry and vanilla. A serving contains 110 calories, 2.5
grams of fat, 9 grams of sugar and 12 grams of protein.

Almond Breeze's new flavors
Blue Diamond Growers is expanding its Almond Breeze Almondmilk
brand with four varieties-black cherry, blueberry, peach and
strawberry-of fruit-on-the-bottom cultured almond non-dairy yogurt.
The product contains traditional yogurt cultures-Streptococcus
thermophilus and Lactobacillus bulgaricus-as well as the probiotics
Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidus and Lactobacillus casei. Each 5.3-oz
cup contains 140 calories, 5 grams of fat, 2 grams of protein and 16
grams of sugar, of which 15 grams are added.

Stonyfield Organic High Protein Parfait
Stonyfield Farm, a fully owned business of French dairy giant Lactalis,
is starting to roll out Stonyfield Organic High Protein Parfait in two
superfruit varieties: mango pineapple and pomegranate raspberry
acai. The Greek yogurt comes with a domed top of granola. One 7-oz
cup contains 250 to 260 calories, 7 grams to 8 grams of fat, 17 grams
of sugar (10 to 12 are added sugars) and 16 grams of protein.

Outshine Fruit and Yogurt Smoothie
Nestle's Outshine brand can now be found in the ambient pouch snack
aisle with the roll out of Outshine Fruit and Yogurt Smoothie. Available
in four no-added-sugar varieties-blueberry pear, peach raspberry,
pear vanilla and strawberry coconut-the shelf-stable product is
described as being " made with nonfat yogurt that is heat treated after
culturing. " The 60-calorie, 3.5-oz pouches are sold in boxes of four.

David's Deli Triple Cream Cheese Spread
Crystal Farms, a brand of Michael Foods, which is owned by Post
Holdings, is introducing David's Deli Triple Cream Cheese Spread. The
8-oz container comes in six premium offerings. They are blueberry
lemon zest, everything (pepper, garlic, onion, poppy seeds and salt),
olive and rosemary, onion and chive, plain, and strawberry and cream.
The extra-rich spread contains 100 calories and 9 grams of fat per
two-tablespoon serving. Traditional cream cheese spread is about 80
calories and 7 grams of fat.
