New Product Showcase Form flattener Hollymatic has announced the development of a Natural Form Flattener to fit most Hollymatic forming and portioning machines as well as a number of competitive machines. The Flattener functions as an attachment to the outfeed conveyor of the forming machine. The Hollymatic Natural Form Flattener features a simple design consisting of two adjustable opposing belts that gently compress the machine-formed patties. The result is a larger, enhanced homemade appearance. The Flattener also can be used as a stand-alone machine that can accept formed and portioned product directly from the outfeed conveyor of most machines. For more information, call Hollymatic at (708) 579-3700. Checkweighing scales OHAUS Corporation’s line of CKW Checkweighing Scales are designed for use in food-processing environments. Built from food-safe stainless steel, the CKW Checkweigher includes an IP66/ NEMA4X indicator and a base with an open framework that is designed for cleaning in washdown conditions. To prevent accumulation of matter on the frame, each base has rounded corners, an external platform skirt and drain holes. Designed for fast set-up with a dedicated Target key, the CKW scales boast multiple configurations for users to checkweigh to meet their specific operational needs. For ultimate customization, the tri-color bar graph can be programmed to alert operators by displaying each of the 24 segments individually, by color block, as a continuous bar, scaled to the capacity of the target weight, or it can be turned off. The CKW Checkweigher also includes an audible alert that can be programmed to alert users at a selectable volume. In order to prevent operators from accidentally changing targets and settings, the CKW scales can be locked once they are configured. For more information, call OHAUS Corporation at (973) 377-9000.
