UFDC NOMINATING PROCESS
2016 Election Information
for Regional Directors
ny active club member who wishes to be considered by the UFDC Nominating Committee as the nominee
for the position of Director for Regions 1, 5, 6, 8, and 15 must declare so in writing to the Chair of the
Nominating Committee.
You may use the form below or simply write a note stating your candidacy. This information is to be returned to the
2016 Nominating Committee Chair, UFDC, Inc., 10900 North Pomona Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64153-1235. This
declaration must be postmarked no later than August 31, 2015, for an individual to be eligible for consideration by the
2016 Nominating Committee.
This process does not change a member's floor nominating privilege, nor does it apply to Nominating Committee
members who will be elected at the 2015 Convention to serve on the 2016 Nominating Committee. This procedure will
assure that each person who has an interest in being considered by the Nominating Committee has an equal opportunity
to be known, and that the committee considers only those persons who are interested in serving.
The names of all declared candidates will appear in the fall 2015 issue of Doll News, prior to the Nominating
Committee's deliberations. All UFDC members will have an equal opportunity to comment on the declared
candidates if they so choose.
A candidate for Regional Director must be an active UFDC club member and have her/his principle residence in the
region she/he wishes to serve. In applicable years, the exception to the rule is Region 16 where the Regional Director
may be a member of and reside in any UFDC region. If you are interested in serving as a Regional Director, and would
like to know more about what the job entails, you may write to UFDC Headquarters and request a copy of the "Duties
of a Regional Director." Please include a stamped, self-addressed, business-size envelope. If you have any questions,
please call or write the UFDC President at her home address.
