TPE: The Place to Be
The 2013 Placement Exchange event in Orlando, Florida,
was another success for both candidates and employers.
This year, the annual event included 521 employers
and 934 candidates and hosted 10,181 interviews. The
Placement Exchange is a joint venture of ACUHO-I,
ASCA, NACA, NASPA, NODA, AFA, and HigherEdJobs.com. The Placement Exchange
offers year-round student affairs career placement services and education for both
candidates and employers.
Next year’s on-site event will be held March 12-16, 2014, in Baltimore, Maryland.

ACUHO-I Welcomes Katie Purcell – A New Resource
for Our Online Learners
ACUHO-I is excited to announce the hiring of Katie Purcell as
ACUHO-I’s new online learning manager. She is responsible
for supporting the ACUHO-I learners who are enrolled in
short courses and the certificate programs. Her primary
responsibility is to serve as a virtual resource in an effort to
help learners move through the online process seamlessly
from enrollment through completion.
Purcell earned her master’s degree from Franklin
University, in Columbus, Ohio, in marketing and communications
and her bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in Athens in interpersonal
communication. She has nearly a decade of higher education experience and comes
to us most recently from The Ohio State University’s Office of Human Resources in
Columbus, where she created and managed the university’s work/life balance program.
She has also worked at Franklin University where she supported non-traditional online
graduate students.
Purcell will be your go-to resource for course support, learning guidance, and capstone
management. Her hours will be flexible, in order to serve you when you need it most. You
