STUDENT GENERATION
After this competition, we won in Brazil,
which guaranteed a spot for Michigan in 2019.
Arriving at MIS and seeing that large and
renowned teams, with prototypes a few years
ahead of us (due to greater infrastructure,
experience, and support), also faced problems
that were often similar to ours was a great lesson
for us. Even though we didn't complete the
endurance, participating in all the dynamic
events was very intense for the entire team. Also,
the support from many companies is something
we don't see in Brazil; it allowed us to talk about
internships and career opportunities.
In 2022, we went again to the Michigan
competition; however, due to bureaucratic
problems, our car was unable to go. The team
was very upset about not being able to
participate in the dynamic tests, but we never
stopped dedicating ourselves to the design
event. Presenting and talking to renowned
judges made our team level up, the feedback
they gave helped us identify mistakes we made
in our project and fix them for the next season.
This conversation also helped us improve our
test for the competition in Brazil, guaranteeing
us the trophy again.
At the 2023 Michigan competition, our car
arrived in the city one day after the start of the
technical inspection. Due to air transport, the
prototype arrived without fluid and with some
rusty parts. Our desire to see our project on the
track helped us spend the night in a parking lot
preparing our car for the next day and, at six in
the morning on the next day, we were able to
turn on our car on American soil for the first
time. After that, we returned to MIS and, in just
one day, we managed to pass all the safety tests
and also the skidpad, acceleration, and autocross
events. Even with the exhaustion from not
having slept, this was certainly one of the best
days for many on the Fórmula Cefast team.
The next day, we were unable to complete
the endurance due to an oil leak in the blowby,
but even with this failure, we consider the
Michigan 2023 competition a success, because
of everything we managed to do in one day and
because of the team spirit we had during this
trip.
We also had difficulty getting the car back to
Brazil, which arrived four days before the
national competition. In this short period of
time, we had to add fluids to the car, change
rusty components, and solve problems such as
an oil leak (which was identified in the Michigan
endurance) and gear shifting. Additionally, we
had to test our prototype to ensure it was fast

In 2018, the team's car arrived late and flooded with water; nevertheless, Fórmula Cefast
placed 18th
overall.
With a car damaged by air transport, the team spent the night in a parking lot preparing for
the 2023 Michigan competition.
