FORMULA TO SUCCESS,
A NEW YOUTUBE SERIES
ONE THING EVERYONE CAN APPRECIATE is the feeling of
acceleration.
Seriously, put anyone in a racecar and tell them to put the
pedal to the floor on a closed track and watch how fast their
smile stretches from ear to ear. The steering wheel's vibration,
the force pushing you against the seat, and the engine's roar at
13,000 rpm thrill all five senses.
But what does it take to make an engineering marvel like a
racecar? Our team of college students is hard at work finding
out.
Formula to Success aims to shed some insight into the young
minds of competitive collegiate automotive engineering. The
show covers the year-long journey of the Cal Poly Pomona
Formula SAE team's design, manufacturing, and testing phases
for their Formula SAE racecar. As an entirely student-run team,
the young minds from Cal Poly Pomona's Colleges of Business,
Engineering, Science, Environmental Design, and more
coordinate their efforts to achieve their year-long goals. Missing
any one of these milestones could mean a no-go when the time
to race rolls around. So, join our team as we meet the faces who
manage team finances, oversee subsystem operations, design
exciting prototypes, and drive our car to the podium!

But don't expect a smooth ride. This is a student-run team,
after all. Witness the fast-paced environment and overbearing
pressure the students endure on top of their normal academic
loads. Feel the heavy atmosphere that looms over the team as
they walk the thin line between passing essential classes and
meeting manufacturing deadlines.
If you want glory in motorsports, you need guts. And Cal Poly
Pomona's Formula SAE team has been hard-charging at home
and abroad since its establishment in 1988. Generations of our
team, along with their successes and failures, have all led to this
27-person group shifting into high gear to dominate the coming
2024 Formula SAE racing season. Step into our world through

with some of today's youngest and brightest speed freaks. n
