NEW SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY CAREER
CENTER BRINGS OPPORTUNITY TO
PLANET-CONSCIOUS JOB SEEKERS
MOVING TO A SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORTATION AND
ENERGY ECOSYSTEM requires building an entirely new set of
industries. From large-scale battery production to the
expansion of the electric vehicle charging ecosystem, the
business opportunities are enormous.
What's missing from the coverage of these endeavors is the
need for skilled workers. The creation of an entirely new
sustainability-based economy requires a trained workforce.
From understanding the basics of electricity to more complex
subjects including mining, chemical engineering, mechanical
engineering, and more, employers are looking to hire
thousands of new employees to fill these roles.
To help connect job seekers with companies desperate for a
skilled workforce, SAE recently launched the Sustainable
Mobility Career Center, an online resource that's regularly
updated with job opportunities in multiple industries, including

The career center also highlights the many training
opportunities available from SAE, including the Battery
Academy-a partnership with TK to educate those interested in
joining the sustainability industry, from early-career
professionals fresh out of school to established experts looking
for a career change. The series of classes covers everything
from an introduction to batteries to complex sessions on
chemistry.
For those interested in the expanding charging
infrastructure, SAE has introduced the EV Charging
Infrastructure Training Program to prepare for the influx of
charging stations around the country. Maintaining that
infrastructure will require a huge influx of those trained to work
on charger stations; SAE has partnered with ChargerHelp to
create training to get the teams that keep these charging
stations online ready for the future.
These highlighted training opportunities sit alongside job
postings from companies searching for candidates passionate
about the world of sustainability.

newsletter that routinely sends positions that fit their career
criteria directly into their inbox. An invaluable tool for those
