History/Background: Scotland-born John Walker originally founded the general contracting firm in 1895, which became incorporated in 1924 under the name Walker & Olund, Ltd. (after new partner Alfred Olund), finally becoming Walker-Moody Construction Co., Ltd. in 1939 when Max Moody was selected to lead the company. Although the 116-year-old company has weathered many changes, both in its own history as well as within the state, it is still known as a multigenerational, family-owned and family-operated business that provides construction services across Hawaii. sealcoating products.
