History/Background: Scotland-born John Walker originally founded the general contracting firm in 1895, which became incorporated in 1924 under the name Walker & Olund, Ltd. (after new partner Alfred Olund), finally becoming Walker-Moody Construction Co., Ltd. in 1939 when Max Moody was selected to lead the company. Although the 116-year-old company has weathered many changes, both in its own history as well as within the state, it is still known as a multigenerational, family-owned and family-operated business that provides construction services across Hawaii. sealcoating products. Since SealMaster Hawaii opened its doors, the firm has sold hundreds of thousands of gallons of its signature product, MasterSeal asphalt pavement sealer. In 2009 SealMaster Hawaii was named Franchise of the Year for being the No. 1 franchise in the BI SealMaster Family.
