More than a year at the helm at
NBCU's Cable Entertainment Group,
Hammer's domain is shaping up quite
nicely. For starters, the group is on
track to account for more than 50
percent of the company's total profi t.
In fact, the NBCU division outperformed all other cable groups
at this year's Upfronts. But Hammer is always looking for the
next opportunity. Ever the change agent, this September she
soldered together Bravo, Oxygen Media, E! Entertainment,
and Esquire Network to create the Lifestyle Networks group
under the guidance of Frances Berwick. The reorganization
stands to revitalize the entire group.

Cox Communications
Cox remains an innovation powerhouse
under the measured watch of
Campbell. During the last 12 months,
she has played an instrumental role in
launching Contour, the ground-breaking
video platform that's changing the
personal video experience. Looking ahead, she'll continue to
build on the successes of Contour and spearhead the rollout
and integration of Cox Home Security to all regions. Campbell
values collaboration with peers and colleagues, and appreciates
the benefi t of different perspectives. " It isn't enough to be
mentors, " she says. " We have to be sponsors. "
3. Nancy Dubuc

A+E Networks
Dubuc's outside-the-box thinking
continues to pay off for the company.
Last December, she leveraged
the power of three brands-A&E,
Lifetime and History-with the
" Bonnie & Clyde " premiere, which
resulted in an audience of 7.4 million, and the ripple effect
continues. Why? Because Dubuc balances A+E Network's
diverse portfolio while also ensuring that each brand radiates
its own strong presence. As she heads into 2015,
she's focused on growing the business both domestically
and internationally. To stay balanced, Dubuc says she will
" unplug from devices when possible " and " spend quality
time with friends and family. "

OWN and Harpo Studios
After an uneven start in 2011, Winfrey's
OWN is fast coming into its
own: As the network continues to
expand into scripted programming,
OWN has experienced double-digit
growth in 2013, and the fi rst quarter
2014 was its most watched in its history. Winfrey's Harpo
Studios now produces more than 130 hours of programming
annually for OWN. Winfrey, who in June became Forbes'
Most Powerful TV Personality, also partnered with Starbucks
this year for Teavana Oprah Chai, with all of her portion of the
proceeds going to support youth education.
5. Rita Tuzon
EVP & General Counsel
Fox Networks Group
Tuzon and her team lead Fox's
legal challenges related to the DISH
Hopper, an ad-skipping feature, and
recently shuttered streaming service
Aereo. Added responsibility for business
and legal affairs for Fox International
Channels brought her team increased involvement
with the expansion of Fox Sports' international investments
including advising on acquisitions in Latin America, the launch
of Fox Sports Brazil and acquisitions in Asia. But it's never all
work and no play for this balanced exec. " If you're not having
fun it's not worth it, " Tuzon says.
6. Abbe Raven

A+E Networks
As A+E Networks' longest-serving
employee, it's no surprise that the
honors and appointments for Raven,
who started out her career as a production
assistant, keep on coming.
In September, she was elected to
the board of directors at PENCIL, one of New York's leading
education non-profi ts, which is committed to improving the
city's public schools and its students. " Mentoring the next
generation is our responsibility, " she says. Back at the offi ce,
Raven's successful run as president and CEO included tripling
the company's revenues.
