option?
A: People living with tumors near sensitive organs-including
lung, breast, prostate, and head and neck cancers-may
consider proton therapy an especially valuable resource.
It is also the standard of care for pediatric patients, people
requiring reirradiation, and those at high risks of side-effects
with traditional radiation.
Q: Where can I find proton therapy?
A: There are approximately 40 proton centers in the United
States, many affiliated with top academic health systems. The
New York Proton Center is the only proton center in New York
