But to truly reap these benefi ts, Michele Silagy, chief
talent advisor at Kinetix, says that employers need to
ensure that their online presence fully illustrates their
brand. " Companies that have invested in their employer
brand and provided stories about what it's really like
to work there garner better candidates who are more
interested in the brand and the positions. If you are
recruiting for a company who hasn't invested in the
employer brand, the culture is left to the marketplace to
defi ne, and research shows that reputation is important
to the informed candidate. "
