More than 42,000 FBLA student
members registered and paid dues
during this campaign. Prizes were
awarded to five members who paid
dues between three different months
in December, January, and February
with 703 FBLA chapters reporting an
increase in membership. Winners were
selected from a random drawing.

The last few months have been
tough and our circumstances with
COVID-19 have forced to become more
creative with chapter recruitment
and retention. It starts with member
engagement! Here are a few ideas that
your chapter can use to keep members
engaged throughout the rest of the
school year and over the summer.
1 Host a FBLA movie club
night through zoom or
Chrome Extension Netflix
party and watch a movie
together with built-in chat.
2 Join the Tik Tok fun
by creating your own
FBLA challenge.
3 Have members share fun
and inspiring photos. Set
a new theme monthly such
as pet pics, most organized
rooms, or introduce your
quarantine fam (your
family, your pets, etc.) Set a
hashtag on social media for
everyone to contribute and
follow and see which photo
gathers the most likes for
a prize.
4 Livestream a Virtual
Speaker Event. Gather
members in your
community together at
the same time by hosting
a live session, presentation
or webinar for chapel, a
virtual speaker event, or set
up a video conference Q&A
session with an alumnus of
you chapter share career
and industry insights with
current students.
5 Name that Tune! Challenge
your chapter members
with fun rounds of
trivia. Pick your poison:
Current events, politics,
history, sports, music,
film, or any topic related
to your FBLA goals and
interests. (Offering a prize
to the winner or winning
group goes a long way to
boosting participation!)
