" Explore is a direct replacement, pin-for-pin, " for
a wide range of existing moving maps, including
Airshow Genesys, 400/410, 500 and 5000 from
Collins Aerospace, the Honeywell Aerospace Jetmap
II, he added. " By using an adapter tray, we take the
configuration, and we adapt to the wiring on the
aircraft. " The unit's base is a flange-mount device, a
" direct replacement " for similar mounting schemes
used throughout the industry. " Connectors simply snap
on and the unit bolts in place where the existing mounts
are, " Feuerhak told attendees.
Explore offers highly customized content on the
new display, including configurable flight-information
pages, and a full-GUI setup process. Different views
from within the moving map are selectable or can
be automatically sequenced during the configuration
process. Explore also offers more than 50,000 points of
interest and, with Evolve and an integrated PED, can
be cast from the personal device to the big screen. An
AML STC is in the works.

CCX Technologies
Headquartered in Ottawa and established in 2017,
CCX Technologies designs and develops a wide range
of cybersecurity and testing solutions for the aviation,
military and government markets. At the 2023 AEA
Convention, the company unveiled its T-RX GPS tester,
the latest in the company's T-RX (pronounced " TRex " )
product line.
The company said its T-RX GPS is designed with an
intuitive interface to reduce the time required for setup
and testing. It is smaller and lighter than competitive
products, according to CCX, and, like its companion
testers, features a large color touchscreen. The T-RX
GPS offers testing on all active SBAS systems,
including WAAS, EGNOS, GAGAN and MSAS. It
features integrated Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity,
permitting in-the-field software upgrades, feature
updates and what the company calls " painless test
report generation. " Users can add tests as needed and
even upgrade to full T-RX RP+ tester capabilities, if
desired. The T-RX GPS tester comes already calibrated
for future upgrades.
Matt Bartolotta, director of sales, told attendees
the T-RX GPS " once again redefines avionics testing,
being one of the most lightweight and compact GPS
units on the market today, with the added bonus of
being upgradeable to a full avionics tester with a simple
software update at any point in the future. With an
intuitive user interface, our device validates the GPS
functionality on board the aircraft, " he said.
" Despite being only 5 pounds, the T-RX GPS is
built to withstand the most demanding requirements
in today's modern aircraft. It's easy to use, and its
secure, intuitive interfaces make it one of the most
user-friendly devices on the market, allowing for easy
setup, with little-to-no training, " Bartolotta added,
noting the T-RX has a 10-inch, sunlight-readable color
touchscreen and 10-hour battery life.

WAP-6000
New Product Introductions. Projects completed since
then include an STC for installing the Pro Line Fusion
integrated avionics system for King Air B300/350
platforms, and CPLDC for the Premier 1 and 1/A,
plus CPDLC, FANS and ATN1B for the Hawker
750/800/900 fleet. The CPDLC, FANS and ATN1B
upgrades are also available for the Falcon 2000/EX.
Meanwhile, Collins has completed 70 Pro Line Fusion
upgrades of Challenger 604 bizjets, with five of them
including Venue cabin management system upgrades.
" Looking ahead to this year, " Ayala continued,
" we're going to add the King Air 200 and 250 for Pro
Line Fusion - that'll be a Pro Line 2-to-Fusion, for a
starting point - and then we'll also have CPDLC for
King Airs, Citation Encore, XLS and CJs, as well. "
