detection systems for Part 23 aircraft under the FAA's
NORSEE (non-required safety-enhancing equipment)

feedback from a lot of our users that our older wireless
access points needed to be upgraded, and so we've
done that now and we're happy to announce we'll have
our new and improved access point available later
this year, " Ayala said. " It's going to have beefed-up
connectors so that we can bring in a little bit better
reliability and have some of the latest Wi-Fi, streaming
and protocols to go with it. " The WAP-6000 will
provide 4K streaming and high-definition content for
multiple devices, include Wi-Fi 6 capability and WPA3
security, plus offer a remote mounting option.

presentation. The new product essentially replaces
" hand-tied lace and cable ties. "
" Why LaceLok? Hand-tied lace and cable ties
have been used for many years, with a lot of issues.
To prevent that, we came out with LaceLok, " Leary
continued. " LaceLok is safer, more consistent and has
superior performance. It also installs faster. "
According to the company, using LaceLok will
help prevent inconsistent installations, repetitive
motion injuries, operator abrasions and fatigue, losttime
accidents, and abrasions to wires and nearby
components. LaceLok also helps prevent brittle or
loosening support resulting from exposure to extreme
temperatures, chemicals and ultraviolet light.
Other benefits of LaceLok, according to the company,
include an ergonomic design to reduce repetitive
motions and smooth fastener termination at 20 pounds
of force, eliminating abrasion injuries while adding
consistent loop force. The meta aramid fiber material
used is rated for operation in extreme temperatures,
from minus 65 degrees Celsius to 260 degrees Celsius,
and is resistant to hydraulic fluid, lubricating oil and
fuel while also being 40% lighter than large cable ties.

kit, which includes an installation tool, 100 pieces of

LaceLok is Mil Spec-qualified to MIL DTL 32554 and
MIL DTL 32555 and is approved by SAE in AS50881H.

Flight Data Systems
Flight Data Systems provides flight data solutions
and services to business, military, commercial and
rotorcraft segments of aviation. At the 2023 AEA
Convention, the company announced it is bringing its
FDR, CVR and Datalink readout and analysis services
to the North American market. Those services include
annual serviceability, parameter correlation checks,
incident reports, CVR system and intelligibility
checks conforming to FAA and ICAO, as well as
EASA, guidelines and regulations. The company's
readout services have been popular with European and
Asia-based operators and now are available in North
America.
Bob Whetsell of FDS introduced the new services
to attendees, adding that the company thinks " the
foundation of our customers' safety analysis programs
and maintenance analysis programs are based on
a secure, accurate readout " of available recorders.
