indicated that they knew that their institutions
did not have policies governing sexual orientation antidiscrimination.

Gender Identity/Expression
Antidiscrimination Policy
Table 2 indicates the number of students reporting awareness of their institutions' gender
identity/expression antidiscrimination policies. Five hundred sixty-seven participants
(61.5%) indicated that they were aware of
whether their institutions had policies addressing antidiscrimination on the basis
of gender identity/expression. The portion
of participants attending Master's (62.9%,
n=129) and Doctoral (62.5%, n=336) degree
granting institutions aware of these policies
was the highest among the institutional types.
One-half of the 48 Associate's (50.0%, n=24)
degree granting participants reported awareness of gender identity/expression antidiscrimination policies.
Table 3 shows that 49.6 % (n=457) of survey
respondents indicated that their institutions

had implemented policies addressing gender
identity/expression. Nearly one-half of participants from Bachelor's (45.8%, n=60), Master's
(52.7%, n=108), and Doctoral (51.7%, n=278)
degree granting institutions indicated that
they knew their institutions had these policies.
Fewer than one-quarter of Associate's (22.9%,
n=11) degree participants stated that they knew
their institutions had gender identity/expression policies.

LGBTQ+ Inclusive Housing Policy
Table 2 shows that 711 (77.1%) of the 922 total
participants reported awareness of LGBTQ+
inclusive housing policies. Across institutional
type, approximately three-quarters of participants or more reported knowing whether their
institutions had such policies. The largest percentage of students unaware (i.e., Don't Know)
of LGBTQ inclusive housing attended Associate (22.9%, n=11) and a Doctoral (26.8%,
n=144) degree granting institutions.
Table 3 indicates that only 29.4% (n=271)
