under way for the 2022 IEEE PES
Transmission and Distribution Conference
and Exposition in New Orleans on
April 25-28. We are thrilled to finally
be able to reconnect as an industry
after four long years apart.
New Orleans is a place primed for
celebrations, and be assured, we have
plenty of exciting things in store to
commend the courage and resiliency
all of you have shown over the past
couple of years to keep the power on
and our lives moving. On top of all the
music, culture, and energy, New Orleans
also offers us a chance to reflect on
our industry's unparalleled ability to
overcome adversity and respond to the
challenges at hand, seen recently in the
response to Hurricane Ida.
This sense of purpose as an industry
aligns with the 2022 theme of 'Power
In', which represents the idea that there
is 'power' in everything T&D professionals
do. Power isn't just an electrical
current delivered to homes, businesses,
and hospitals. It also represents a mindset
that is resilient in the face of unprecedented
challenge, adaptable to constant
change, and determined to chart a
more reliable, efficient future.
In New Orleans this April, there will
be 'Power in Innovation' available in
ground-breaking technical sessions and
the expansive exhibition hall, 'Power
in Connections' through networking
opportunities and special events, and
'Power in Action', where our conversations
will help set the course for the
industry in the years to come.
The IEEE PES T&D Conference
and Exposition attracts energy executives,
practitioners, academics, industry
professionals, and policy makers
from around the world who take part
as attendees, speakers, and exhibitors.
Delegates can browse the latest technologies
and access hands-on demonstrations,
as well as connect with a
